Activ E-book Compiler Support
Active E-book Compiler converts your source files into a single excutable e-book file. After downloading the product, you receive detailed installation instructions. You create a project using Active Quick Project. (You will find this in the Windows program menu after you install the product). The project creates the required directories including a source directory. You place your html source files, images and other content into the source directory. When you run the e-book compiler program, select the project file (using File > Open). Then scan the source folder (using Edit > Scan Folder)
You can arrange the order of the source files using the arrow keys on the toolbar. To see these files, select the Files tab from the row of tab controls. These files initially make-up your table of contents for example:
You can set properties for each item. To set the properties, right-click the item and select properties from the context menu. Some of the useful properties are:
- Chapter 1 Inroduction
- Chapter 2 Basic Features
- Chapter 3 Advanced Features
Once you have this sorted out you compile the e-book using Build > Run. This creates the executable file which you can run by double-clicking on it.
- Description
- Keywords
- Password protection
- Include / Exclude from table of contents

There are plenty more advanced features. These are well documented in the online documentation. (Help > User Guide)
